Throughout the COVID-19 crisis, BBU has been operating under one guiding principle – feed America while keeping their 20,000 associates safe. BBU donates approximately 20 million pounds of food to Feeding America annually and have committed to significantly increasing their bread and baked goods donations to Feeding America food banks during this time.
In addition, BBU set up a Matching Gifts Program to benefit Feeding America’s COVID-19 Response Fund. Through this program, BBU will match 100% of associate and supplier donations to the fund, up to $500,000. Due to the urgent need, BBU donated its $500,000 match immediately.
