ABA believes in the power of partnership. Whether it is through collaborative advocacy or forging alliances with other groups in the baking sector, we understand our industry is stronger when we work together.
The Baking Industry Alliance (BIA) was established in early 2019 as part of the American Bakers Association’s Strategic Plan. Its mission is to drive the promotion and growth of the baking industry by harnessing the expertise and resources of organizations representing the industry.
The BIA is composed of seven industry organizations representing bakers, suppliers, equipment manufacturers, and millers. Working together to address key industry issues and tap into their respective areas of expertise, the BIA ensures that their member company’s investments are maximized.
The Baking Industry Alliance focused its initial efforts on addressing the issue of workforce retention and recruitment in partnership with the USO Pathfinder® Program.
ABA is honored to partner with Feeding America to present ABA members with opportunities to support the nation’s largest domestic hunger-relief organization. For years ABA has supported Feeding America’s DC food bank, Capital Area Food Bank, and we are humbled to provide financial support to them in this hour of need as well as share the incredible work of their national organization with our members.
Feeding America is a nationwide network of 200 food banks and 60,000 food pantries and meal programs that provides food and services to people each year. When you contribute to Feeding America, you are joining their efforts in nearly every community in all 50 states, Washington D.C., and Puerto Rico.
