ABA's Entry Level Training teaches the fundamentals of cookie and cracker manufacturing. The Cookie & Cracker Manufacturing Course (CCMC) is a two-year advanced course that teaches an in-depth technical understanding. But what if you are neither a beginner nor ready for the advanced course?
It's Time for Intermediate Training
The Intermediate Training (IT) Course is a mid-level program for individuals who are ready to move beyond the basics. Each lesson goes into more detail on a specific product type and/or the equipment used to produce it. The specificity of each lesson provides a deeper dive into the manufacturing process. The IT Course provides insight into the various processes on the line, which are broken into steps or conversions including
- The formula
- Mixing and forming processes
- Baking fundamentals
- Cooling, delivery, and packaging.
The lessons emphasize the importance of and reasons for following each step in the manufacturing process.
The Details
Students can choose from three lessons: Wire-cut, Rotary, and Sandwiching, with several other lessons available soon. Each lesson is available online and takes approximately 2-3 hours. Interactive exercises, videos, and photos, along with an index of terms, helps students successfully the multiple-choice test at the end of the lesson.
Why Intermediate Training is Important
Automation of cookie and cracker manufacturing lines can only get companies so far. That's why it's important for employees who work on those lines to understand the ingredients and process for what's happening under their watch. Armed with this information, they can detect small issues before they become costly problems.
